Nearshore Fishing
Nearshore fishing waters from St Pete Beach North are some of the best flat-fishing waters in Florida. There are plenty of species of fish that run throughout the entire year. Click here to see when your favorite species of fish is waiting on you to be caught off the Central West coast of Florida. We know where they are supposed to be and when...but that's why they call it fishing and not catching, LOL.
RGT Charters has gathered and recorded the best known spots to ensure a most memorable fishing experience. It doesn't matter whether you are an experienced or novice fisherman, RTG Charters guide's and staff have been instructed to give you your best day on the water. If you just want to relax and catch some rays, that's great too!
Based on your fishing experience and preference catching either the same species or a variety of fish, we will have the right bait and tackle to catch them by sight or by casting plugs.
Offshore Fishing
Just a few miles out there is great fishing! The offshore towers, reefs, and wrecks offer excellent fishing year round: Goliath Grouper, Cobia, Permit, Snapper, Amberjacks, Dolphin, Sharks, Barracuda, etc. You will find Pelagic Fish (species that swim the open oceans and congregate closer to the surface), Billfish and Tuna.
July and August are the prime months when Permit and Kingfish arrive at the wrecks. Get ready to reel hard to keep the fish away from the reef - the coral is very sharp and will slice your line.
